After a pretty slow, and very frustrating, start to this new year, I have some good news to report!
I had a shoot on Thursday with Lindsay of Thrifted.net and it went so well. She sells a lot of vintage clothing and there are items I modeled that I plan to bid on. Who knew I would be so into vintage? The shoot took about 4 hours and being catalog, it was a little boring. Linsday was great though. She definitely knows how to style and is a pleasure to work with. She wants to use me again and I am looking forward to it! I should have some images by the end of next week.
I have three fashion shows coming up. One is for MAV Foundation. They are hosting a fashion show and dinner event on February 13, 2010 at Jillians in San Francisco, benefiting leukemia/lymphoma. I am very excited to be a part of something fun that is for a good cause. I've been meaning to donate more of my time and money to causes and this fits perfectly. I have another one the next day, February 14th at Mighty in San Francisco. LoveSick3 and Alex Von Bromssen are hosting this event. There is a casting on February 4th that I am attending. If all goes well, I should be a model in the show. The third is being held on February 28th. I don't have all of the details yet but I know it is for prom and wedding dresses. I actually have a dress rehearsal for a show in March on the same day, so I am hoping it doesn't run too late and I can be in the bridal show. It's going to be a busy couple of months, and I couldn't be happier.
Along with the fashion shows, I was casted for a couple lingerie shoots. One shoot will be at the end of the month for Dark Kisses Lingerie being shot by Ryan Chua. I am still waiting to hear back about the other shoot, I don't know what company it is for yet or who will be shooting the campaign. I'm also setting up a couple shoots with local photographers to update my portfolio. Yay!
I really think 2010 is going to be my year. I didn't feel it right away but after all of this good news, I am feeling fabulous!
