: MAV Foundation Charity Fashion Show

Last night was the MAV Foundation Charity Fashion show in San Francisco. I was lucky enough to be accompanied by Adam - he decided to drive up with me and hang out until the show started, how sweet! Sad to say no one else came out to support me or the charity. It makes me pretty mad but it's really their loss. I had some good wishes from some good friends, so that helped. I feel like the only way I can get people to go is make them feel guilty but it isn't my style. Anyway, I don't want to get into it. We made good time and when we walked out of the parking garage I was reminded why I love the city so much. It's pretty, full of people, and so much life!

We had a hard time finding the place but once inside I went "backstage" and the chaos began. There were 9 designers in the show and I walked for two of them. I wasn't able to attend the rehearsal and fitting because I had to work, or something, and that turned out to be a disadvantage because there were some lines I would have loved to model for. Maybe next time! Hair and make-up was insane. There were two hair stylists and two make-up artists for 20 models, give or a take a few. And the hair took some time. They wanted big, teased hair which I wasn't stoked on because of the time it takes to comb it out afterwards. Funniest part of the night... besides my name being "Polly" instead of Lolly is there was one model who kept staring at me and I returned the stares because I knew that I had seen her elsewhere. Finally she came up to me and we figured out we both walked in the Aspiring Couture a few months back. Petra is her name and it was a relief to finally know someone! There is nothing worse than doing an event alone. Sure, you meet new people but it's very hard when most already know each other and are cliquey. It seriously gets on my nerves.

I visited Adam a couple times at the bar, downed a martini in 2.2 seconds the second visit, and then the show began. From what I could tell it went well. There was one point where a designer freaked the fuck out because the music was wrong. I enjoyed myself! My last outfit was my favorite. It was called The Butterfly Dress and I would totally rock it in the summertime. Maybe I'll purchase it at some point. All in all it was a good experience. The only thing that would have been better was an actually runway and not the floor.

Hair and Make-up Done.

First look for Rexy's Closet. Cute but I thought it made me look bigger than I am.

Funny face but I loveee that dress!!

Those are all the photos I have at the moment. More to definitely come! Also, I had a rehearsal earlier in the day for Helium Magazine's Elemental Fashion show that is happening in March. I will update more on that later.

Happy Valentine's Day! <3
