I'll Be Seeing You, Oprah!

"The big secret in life is that there is no big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you're willing to work."

Boy, did she ever work!

Today is a sad day in the TV world - Oprah's final show! It's crazy to think about how long she's been doing her talk show and it's even crazier to think she won't be doing it any longer. I mean, what a wake up call on how quickly your life passes you by! I was only nine days old when the first national episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show was broadcast!!

I may have not watched every single episode of her talk show, but I had the honor of being published in Oprah Magazine a few months back. And I, along with countless others, have certainly learned so much from this incredible woman. Her wisdom is second to none, as well as her compassion and generosity. People like Oprah are very rare and I can only hope to scratch the surface of living a life full of such greatness.

I wanted to take a moment to honor Oprah in my own way by sharing some of my favorite quotes by her. Ones we can all learn something from...

“I don't think you ever stop giving. I really don't. I think it's an on-going process. And it's not just about being able to write a check. It's being able to touch somebody's life.

“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.”

"Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”

“I'm easy to look at, but so hard to see...”

“The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude.”

“Don’t back down just to keep the peace. Standing up for your beliefs builds self-confidence and self-esteem.”

"The big secret in life is that there is no big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you're willing to work."

"The key to realizing a dream is to focus not on success but significance - and then even the small steps and little victories along your path will take on greater meaning."

Her legacy will forever live on through the Oprah Winfrey Network and even more so through the millions of hearts she has touched. Including my own!
