Block Button Bitches & FUNlanthropy Sisters

“Hatred paralyses life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.”

Nothing saddens or upsets me more than bullying/hatred and it's even harder to deal with when it's directed toward someone I know and care about.

A great friend and #FUNlanthropy sister of mine, Brandi, has been targeted by some bullies recently, simply because she is rallying against hate and raising money for causes dear to her. Since when does doing good result in such turmoil? Am I missing something here?  It baffles me how disrespectful and ignorant people are. I'll never understand it.

In a recent attempt to educate her #LittleVoices Sophia tweeted, "Ignorance isn't bliss. Ignorance is repugnant. It's a virus. And it leads human beings to be horrifically cruel to other human beings." No truer words have been spoken on the issue and I am thankful every day that we have souls like Sophia in this world who are so caring and selfless.

Brandi, I know you're a strong woman but I also know how it feels to receive such awful comments. It's never easy no matter how much you try to ignore it. Keep that beautiful head up!

Sophia, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do. You impact so many lives on a daily basis and the world would not be the same without you.

I am so proud to call these ladies my sisters in love and #FUNlanthropy and I am looking forward to the never-ending journey in saving the world with them.

Brandi and I met at the San Francisco Marathon (thank you Sophia Bush and The Nature Conservancy) and we quickly bonded through our birthdays, love for Miss Bush, and helping others. Love you, girl!
