Goals are something I've recently discussed with my therapist and they are also something I've been rediscovering through kaizen — a way to improve your life and productivity through smalls steps and goal setting.
My goals for the month of November are:
Get back in the gym! Doesn't have to be every day and I'm not setting any expectations yet. I just want to start being active again.
Find group exercise classes to take. I've already tried kickboxing and went for a couple of months but it did a number on my knees so I have to look for something else.
Find eco-friendly or charity-tied Christmas cards to send. I'm all about giving back this holiday season and I want to ensure that most, if not all, of the cards and gifts I send benefit someone or some charity.
Put up Christmas decorations & shop for more. In my opinion it's never too early to start.
See if a trip to Mexico in January is at all possible. We were planning a trip to see one of my best friends and her husband but money got tight so we weren't thinking about it. Now that it's getting closer I want to research prices to come to a firm decision.
Save up some money to buy a nice jacket, some warm sweaters, and another pair of jeans. I only own two pairs of jeans, both of which are wearing out and I don't have many sweaters to keep me warm. Time to finally stock up!
Start researching New Years Eve plans. Last year sucked. Friends bailed literally last minute so we ended up getting dinner and returning home to watch the ball drop on TV in our PJs. Not the worst scenario but I want to party this year! Especially if the world is going to end next year ;)
Learn to curl my long hair better. Now that I've damaged my hair by going semi-blonde, curls should hold much easier. I just need to find a process that works best for me and my lack of beauty skills.
