I have to admit that I was overcome with a bit of anger while watching this video. The fact that someone so great was taken away from his loved ones, and the world, is such a tragedy itself. I know that being angry wouldn't be fair to Zach's memory, though. After finishing the video, and wiping away my tears, I can say that I'm not angry. I'm enlightened. I'm inspired. I'm happy.
We all face obstacles in our lives, both big and small. And it's okay to go through whatever emotions come over you during them. But it's important to always look at the bigger picture. What can you learn from the situation? What will your family and friends be able to take away from it? What can you teach others? After all, life is about perspective: "You don't have to find out you're dying to start living."
Please take 20 minutes out of your schedule to watch this video and share it so Zach's message and memory can continue to live on.
Below are some graphics that remind me of Zach and his outlook on life.
